Credit Union! A consumer group called Cooperative Services, Inc founded
us in 1954. Anyone in the world may join that group with a two-dollar
lifetime membership fee. Once you do, you are eligible to join this
credit union and open a savings account with as little as a five dollar
deposit, no matter where in the world you happen to live.
Co-op Services Credit Union is a full-service, non-profit, financial
cooperative. We have 8 full service offices
located throughout Metro Detroit. Our assets exceed $385 million
and we have more than 52,000 members who are also shareholders of
the Credit Union. Additionally, numerous companies' employees consider
us their "company credit union."
Co-op Services Credit Union is pleased to have received ratings
that indicate that we are among the safest credit unions in the
nation. We have been awarded a SUPERIOR financial rating by IDC
Financial Publishing, Inc, as well as a FIVE STAR rating from Bauer
Financial Reports, Inc. Both of these are reputable firms that rate
all of the banks and Credit Unions in the United States. Deposits
are insured to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration
(NCUA), a federal governmental agency.
