Added Security For CSCU Direct Internet Banking Users

Beginning mid-July, CSCU Direct Internet Banking users will be provided with a new security feature to make their home banking experience as safe as possible. Our new 24/7 identity verification feature will watch for unusual activity to your online account. If we notice something abnormal we will ask you to verify your identity before granting access to the account.

How does it work?
Beginning in July you will be asked to assign a phone number to your CSCU Direct Internet Banking account, as well as set up a series of security questions. If we detect uncharacteristic behavior on your account we'll ask you to validate your identity by answering the security questions you have set up, or by answering a phone call from us. Once you validate your identity you will have access to your accounts.

It's just another step we're taking to make sure it's really you online, and not an identity thief. If no unusual activity is detected you will not be asked for additional information. In fact, most of the time you won't even notice the new identity verification feature, but it will still be monitoring and protecting your accounts around the clock.

If you have any questions or concerns about the new security feature please call us at 800.321.8570 ext. 200.
